Date: March 18th, 2026
Time: 10am EST / 2pm GMT
Duration: 1.5-2 hours
Language: English
Date: March 25th, 2026
Time: 4 pm (Astana Time)
Duration: 1.5-2 hours

This applied online session covers the full surveying workflow in K-MINE - from raw field data to validated terrain models, volume calculations, and integration with downstream planning modules. Participants will work through real scenarios including DTM creation from multiple data sources, cut & fill computations, stockpile and dump monitoring. The session shows how surveying data connects to geology, design, and production within a single platform.

Session Agenda

  • Objectives and the role of surveying in mine planning and operations
  • The concept of digital mine surveying within K-MINE
  • Input data for surveying tasks: sources, formats, and quality requirements
  • Coordinate systems, projections, and georeferencing in mining projects
  • Creation and management of digital terrain models (DTM) and surfaces
  • Working with point clouds, UAV, LiDAR, and laser scanning data
  • Volume calculations: cut & fill, stockpiles, dumps, and benches
  • Monitoring of mine development and deformation analysis
  • Typical surveying workflow in K-MINE
  • Analysis and validation of surveying results
  • Reporting, visualization, and data export options
  • Integration of surveying data with geology, planning, and production modules

Who Should Attend

Mine surveyors, survey department leads, geologists, mine planning engineers, technical managers, and anyone responsible for terrain modeling, volume tracking, or reconciliation between planned and actual mining progress.

Session Format

The session will be conducted online, lasting two hours, and requires advance registration. Participants will benefit from live interaction through a Q&A segment. Please note that session recordings will not be publicly available afterward. A certificate of attendance will be provided to all participants.

Participation Guidelines

Register early (limited seats). Bring questions and, if possible, examples of your current surveying challenges - data formats, coordinate system issues, or volume calculation workflows you’d like to discuss. A stable internet connection is recommended for the live demo segments.
