His life’s work as a Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and an Academician of the International Academy of Computer Sciences and Systems has left a lasting imprint on our company and the scientific community at large.

Volodymyr’s dedication to national science and his unwavering commitment to mentoring new generations of scientists and engineers were nothing short of inspiring. His colleagues, students, and the entire academic fraternity remember him as a visionary leader, an exceptional pedagogue, a guiding mentor, and an innovator par excellence. His spirit of patriotism and love for his hometown resonated in everything he did.

Beginning his journey in 1955, Volodymyr climbed the academic ladder from a student to the head of a department at the Kryvyi Rih National University. His significant contributions, including 523 scientific works, 152 patents, and 7 manuals and monographs, have etched his name indelibly in the annals of our institution.

Beyond Ukraine’s borders, the Nazarenko Scientific School is celebrated for its research, particularly in the field of mining and metallurgical technology management. His key theoretical and practical breakthroughs range from the development of automated lifting complexes and mathematical models for managing heavy multi-drum belt conveyors to pioneering a comprehensive theory of conveyor transport automation.

Most notably, Volodymyr Nazarenko was the mastermind behind the K-MINE project, an intelligent automated mining management system leveraging geoinformation technologies. This groundbreaking system has been extensively implemented in mining enterprises across Ukraine, the United States, Australia, India, Brazil, Chile, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan.
